Glebe Art Show 2018

The Glebe Art Show aims to support and encourage both emerging and established artists living and working in Glebe and neighbouring suburbs.

This year's edition of #Glebeartshow moved to the Tramsheds. The venue was perfect to display the varied works from several talented local artists.

The show had just under 2,500 visitors and sold 46 works from a total of 149 works exhibited.

Last year, Muzi was fortunate to receive the People's Choice Awards Prize for his artwork "Rooting". This year, he participated with the artwork entitled "Bridging".

Below the description of it:

This painting describes the feeling that everything is upside-down when you are struggling to belong. That's the reason why I set all elements that way, and I named it "Bridging". The other elements (crystals, ceramic boy and birds) gravitate towards my Brazilian roots and my references of home. The Australiana flora in the middle represents this beautiful country, and the drippings (my artistic signature) portray the impermanence, as well as the sweat and the tears that are part of all significant steps in life.
